The Eyes do not Cry

The eyes is said to be 'the mirror to the soul', it has been seen as that which betrays our outward self as it tells what we really feel deep inside. The eyes do not lie, as it is almost expressionless. Most times, we cannot control it expression by our outward self, it expression can only be controlled from the inside, by the truth from inside. We can use other parts of the body to lie, we can smile even though we are sad inside, we can gesticulate to show interest in topics we are not interested in, yes, we can indeed use all the parts of our body to lie except the eyes, the eyes never lie, it will never help you play your tricks. The eyes is indeed a mirror to our soul.

When we cry, we do so because of two specific emotions, one is the bad emotion which is sadness and the other is the good emotion which is joy.  The tears we shed from the sadness part of the spectrum are usually due to emotions of uncertainty, mostly situations we cannot control, we cry when we lose a loved one, we cry when we are not happy, basically, we cry when things are not working the way we want it to. As for crying because of good emotion, we cry when we are experiencing immense joy, one that comes straight from within, but when we look deep into, the tears do not come just because of the actual reason for the joy, the tears come because of what we have gone through before we were able to attain that joy. So when you see a tract star who cried after they won, the tears may be as a result of the training they had to endure before winning, or just a remembrance of someone dear to them, someone whose words and actions have carried them through to where they are today.

Our eyes certainly do not cry, tears come from the soul, more reason why we are unable to control it from falling. But actors can make themselves cry in movies you may say, well, when actors truly connect with a script and make the emotions theirs, then tears still simply comes from the heart.
The eyes never cry, but the soul does.
